'Purple Mountain
Majesty' (PP#16,405) is one of our favorite new
Heucheras. This has compact purple foliage with
light silver markings and large white flowers on
erect 18 to 24" stems in late spring. The
flowers are almost globular in shape and about
1/2" (12 mm) long. 'Purple Mountain Majesty
has been more sun tolerant for us in the past
several years than almost any of the other new
heuchera hybrids. The
good compact proportions of 'Purple Mountain
Majesty' and its very erect growth habit make it
an excellent choice for containers or for growing
in a raised bed or rock garden.
